WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 10, 2023) – Cygnal, the nation’s most accurate and fastest growing private polling firm, released its latest national poll data (conducted August 1-3) on an array of trending topics, from the GOP presidential primaries and Biden family influence peddling to cocaine in the White House and government coverups of UAPs.
“There are quite a few new and conventional-thought-breaking things to report out of this new national poll,” said Pollster and Director of Client Strategy, Chris Lane. “Beyond the usual horse race numbers, the top takeaway is by far the fact that 26% of Democrats support an impeachment probe into President Biden’s alleged influence peddling. In an era when everyone complains about extreme media bias and political gamesmanship, this number proves the President has a real problem, and they’re compounding.”
Below is a snapshot of Lane’s top takeaways as well some datapoints which haven’t changed much over recent months but serve as regular staples in polling the political landscape.
What’s new?
“Another takeaway from this month’s poll, which was somewhat unexpected, is that not only do 56% of people support a federal abortion ban of 15 weeks, or about three and a half months, so do a plurality of Democrats,” said Lane. “Voters are looking for the pro-life movement to put down a marker in the debate, and this is shown to also cross party lines. With such a large majority supporting the 15-week ban, the conversation fundamentally changes and gets us out of the all-or-nothing approach to navigating the post-Roe era of this issue.”
