Virginia Poll: Harris Flatlines as Trump Gains Ground Among Non-College Voters 

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 1, 2024) – Cygnal, one of the nation’s fastest growing and most accurate private polling firms, released the following Virginia statewide poll (conducted Oct. 27-29) of 600 likely general election voters.   

“Trump continues to gain ground among non-college educated voters whereas Harris is performing on par with Clinton and Biden’s number from 2016 and 2020,” said Pollster and Director of Political Strategy, Mitch Brown. “Combine Trump’s gains and Harris’ flatlines with the fact that 55 percent of Virginia voters think the Commonwealth is headed in the right direction and over 52 percent approve of the job Governor Youngkin is doing means the momentum is with Republicans with just to go to Election Day.” 

Here are Brown’s top takeaways: 

Presidential Race: Harris (50%); Trump (43%); undecided (5%). 

Senate Race: D-Tim Kaine (52%); R-Hung Cao (42%); undecided (7%).  

Vote Method: already voted (41%); vote in-person on Election Day (41%); vote early in-person (15%); vote absentee by mail (4%). 

Top Issues: inflation and the economy (28%); threats to democracy (22%); illegal immigration and border security (16%); abortion protections (12%). 

GOP Gubernatorial Ballot: Winsome Sears (48%); Jason Miyares (12%); undecided (40%). 

Gov. Youngkin Image: favorable (52%); unfavorable (41%); no opinion (7%).
