Alex Tarascio is an international pollster and strategist with extensive experience working with political parties, civil society organizations, and democratic institutions. Alex began his career in grassroots political organizing for conservative causes and candidates – running campaigns in more than two dozen U.S. states. He later worked for U.S. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Alex spent nine years at the International Republican Institute leading initiatives across Europe and the Middle East to fight Russian disinformation, teach rising political stars to win elections, and train political parties how to use public opinion data.

At Cygnal, Alex works with clients in the political, corporate, nonprofit sectors in the United States and around the world. He leads research efforts that uncover the values, motivations, and behaviors of voters and consumers in complex environments. Using cutting-edge statistical methods, his work enables clients to understand their audience with precision, test the most persuasive messages, and stay a step ahead of shifting political environments. What was your first job?
