Ronald is passionate about learning new things through data. He enjoys programming and exploring new ways to analyze data. His deep interest in data analysis led to his goal of leading college students to also love and learn the relevance of statistics and its potential applications. Outside of work, he is a big basketball fan and loves watching and playing basketball to be physically fit. He is also an animal lover, especially for cats.
What motivated you to select this career path?
My natural interest in mathematics, programming, and it’s cool applications led me to pursue in studying a computationally intensive field of statistics. I find the ability to make sense of the data collected, providing intuitive visualizations, and providing insights that can guide clients in their decision making very powerful. I am always fascinated in discovering patterns and trends in data. Analyzing data in polls will be challenging but also fulfilling.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be…
The ability to see the future. It is very helpful to prepare for any upcoming trouble and prevent unfortunate events. The drawback is you will not experience any more surprises and you will already predict what will happen to the ending of any movies.
Who is someone you admire?
My late Father. I admire the way he raised us. I saw his dedication and love for his family. I will always remember his story about how he perseveres to uplift himself economically even though he came from an underprivileged family. He did his best to provide us our needs and inspires us to finished college so we can have a better future.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…
To enjoy our life and to value our everyday experiences may it be good or bad. Choose the path that we will feel fulfilled despite the many challenges in life.
