Associate, Research / Avid Bookworm

Aside from Statistics, I am interested in learning anything related to Business or Finance because I would like to start my own business someday where I could express my creative "artsy" side, also design and produce my own products. I love listening to good music. It's my way of relieving stress, and I also want to learn how to play piano. During my free time, I love watching movies and reading books or comics.

Who is someone you admire?
My parents. What I admire about my mother is her patience and love not only for the family, but to other people too. Her warm heart inspires me to extend the same kindness to others. What I admire about my father is his strong faith in God. I am forever thankful to him for leading the family to a life with God in the center.

If I were a superhero, my superpower would be…
Teleportation so that I would be able to travel places without dealing with heavy traffic.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is...
Be kind to yourself.

What motivated you to select this career path?
It is thanks to my awesome professors and instructors during my undergraduate years that I get to see and appreciate how amazing Statistics is. Now, what motivates me to pursue a career in this path is the sense of fulfillment whenever I get to practice Statistics and help deliver significant and substantial output that would contribute to making more informed decisions. Also, back in college, I'd say Survey Statistics was my least liked subject. Yet, it's funny how I am being led to careers that are related to it and over time, I get to appreciate its importance and how powerful surveys are. I am motivated to learn more about it and extend the knowledge to other people so that surveys won't be misused and abused.
